Public Health Minor (21 units total)

Our Minor Degree in Public Health allows students from other majors to explore the promotion of community and population health in diverse populations using multiple approaches at multiple levels of influence incorporating community, organization, and individual behavior change theories and models. This background can provide a wonderful enhancement to several CSU Fullerton major degrees along with applied experiences and insights that help students when they enter the job market.

NOTE: A Public Health minor will need to contact the PUBH Advisors to be permitted to enroll in some PUBH 400-level courses.

In completing the requirements for the minor, a minimum of twelve (12) units, of which at least six (6) must be upper division, must be distinct and different from the units used to complete the requirements of the major.  Any units above this minimum requirement, which can be used to satisfy both the requirements for the minor and for the major may be double counted.  General education courses, however, may be used to meet minor requirements. 

Coursework must be taken for a letter grade and a “C-” or better is required to pass courses applied to the minor. In order to graduate with a Public Health Minor a minimum Minor GPA of a 2.0 is required.
