Standard Operating Procedures:
The following outlines procedures for updating and maintaining the Titan Battalion webpage.
1. The Titan Battalion webpage is the program's window to the world. The battalion webpage must reflect the prestige and proud history of the United States Army, the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps, and the Titan Battalion. All content will be in accordance with the Army Values and the Warrior Ethos. Cadre and Cadets alike will collectively ensure that this high standard is continually met. Report improper content immediately for correction!
2. The Titan Battalion webpage will be in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act 508. This law requires websites to be visually accessible to visually impaired citizens. To find out more, visit the US Department of Justice page on ADA 508 at http://www.usdoj.gov/crt/ada/adahom1.htm. The webmasters of the CSUF College of Health and Human Development will conduct routine compliance checks to ensure the Titan Battalion Webpage is in compliance. Any errors or non-compliance issues will be reported to the Titan Battalion webmaster immediately. The Titan Battalion will then make all efforts to correct the errors or forward the latest version of the website to HHD webmasters for immediate correction.
3. It is the intent of the Professor of Mililitary Science to routinely update the website showcasing the weekly activities of the Titan Battalion. Four key personnel will be involved in this process.
A) The Cadet Public Affairs Officer, B) The Cadet Webmaster, C) The Battalion Recruiting Officer, D) The Professor of Military Science.
4. Steps for updating the webpage:
A) The Cadet Public Affairs Officer will take photographs of all key Army ROTC events of the week and forward 5 definitive pictures, plus 30 pictures to the Cadet Webmaster with sufficient time to allow the webmaster complete his tasks by Friday.
B) The Cadet Webmaster will then update the index (frontpage) with the 5 frontpage quality pictures that will be linked to a events webpage with the remaining 30 pictures. The Cadet Webmaster will then send an email to the Cadets announcing the new content.
C) The Cadet Webmaster will then provide the webfiles to the Recruiting Officer, who in turn will update, and correct content as necessary. The Recruiting Officer / Webmaster will then upload the files through the portal.
D) The Professor of Military Science will review the "live" webpage and will make necessary corrections, omissions as necessary.
E) In preparation for the next update, the Cadet Webmaster will request the updated version of the webfiles from the Recruiting Officer.
F) All events for a specific semester will be kept online during the respective semester. At the end of each semester, the events will be taken offline and archived on digital media for future reference. The Battalion Secretary will maintain archived event pictures.
