PT Safety:

Follow these guidelines:

1) Cadets must report to physical training well-hydrated and well-rested the night before.

2) The Titan Battalion conducts ability group runs off-campus on a very regular basis during morning "rush hour". Extreme safety precautions must be taken by ALL members of the squad when conducting runs in these highly congested traffic areas. In general:

a) Cross only where there are crosswalks. Even before crossing, check for incoming traffic, post a road guard and then cross as a unit rapidly. DO NOT TRUST GREEN LIGHTS! MOTORISTS ROUTINELY RUN RED LIGHTS! DO NOT BE AN ACCIDENT VICTIM THIS WAY!

b) Maintain unit integrity at all times. Designate straggler control personnel and establish routine rally points to police straggler teams.

c) When conducting ability group runs, avoid establishing rally points near road curves or hilltops where incoming motorists and pedestrians alike have minimal time to react to each other.

c) Stick to designated routes and designated run times.

HEED THESE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS! DO NOT BE AN ACCIDENT VICTIM OR LET ANYBODY IN YOUR GROUP BECOME A VICTIM! SAFETY FIRST!
