The application process involves two parts. First, you must submit a general application to Cal State Fullerton and be admitted into the university before being considered for entry into the graduate program in Kinesiology. This part of the application process is handled through the Office of Admissions and Records. Second, you are making a specific application to the M.S. degree program in Kinesiology.
This part of the process is handled by the Kinesiology Graduate Program. Note that you will need to submit two (2) sets of transcripts, one to the Office of Admissions (official) and one to the Kinesiology Graduate Programs (only the department’s may be a copy).
(1) To complete your general application to Cal State Fullerton you must:
- Complete California State University Graduate Application for Admission (including the application fee) to the Office of Admissions and Records. To apply On-line www.csumentor.edu
*Admissions Graduate Applications may close at the end of November or December-complete the csumentor portion promptly. Transcripts and department documents may arrive after closing date.

Submit one (1) official transcript from each college or university previously attended to:

If previously accepted as an undergraduate at CSUF only transcript from any school attended after acceptance is required. Students currently in graduate status at CSUF do not reapply, instead, submit a “Change of Objective” request form (pick up at LH-114) to Admissions and Records and complete steps below
(2) To complete your specific application to the graduate program in Kinesiology you must:
- Submit a letter of intention which includes a 500-word essay describing your academic/professional interests
- Complete the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test and send scores to the Kinesiology dept.
- Submit two letters of recommendation (forms included).
- Submit one (1) transcript of all previous college/university coursework (may be a copy).
Send essay, GRE scores, letters of recommendation, and one set of transcripts to:
