Coursework is designed to provide specialized knowledge and evidence-based practical tools in a variety of areas including Exercise Physiology, Sociocultural and Philosophical Aspects of Human Movement, Gerokinesiology, Pedagogy, Sport Exercise and Performance Psychology, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning, and Motor Behavior.
Our students will have opportunities to gain professional hands-on experience through internships, our Teaching Associate program, the Center for Sport Performance, the Center for Successful Aging, Center for Sociocultural Sport and Olympic Research and research experience in the Active Together Exercise Psych Lab, Biochemistry and Molecular Exercise Physiology Lab, Biomechanics Lab, Human Performance Lab, Movement Enhancement Lab, Motor Behavior Lab, and Sport, Exercise Performance Psychology (SEPP) Lab.
