Dr. Doyle has taught a wide variety of courses in human services and gerontology including: theories and techniques in counseling, case management, ethical and professional issues in human services, fieldwork, internship seminar, controversial issues in aging, gerontology in human services, and introduction to human services.  His scholarly and research interests are in the areas of cultural diversity competence, professional ethics in the helping professions, issues of development and aging over the lifecycle, developmental disabilities, technology in human services education, and technology in human services delivery.  He has published and presented in the areas of professional ethics, disability as diversity, distance learning in human services education, and technology in human services delivery.  Dr. Doyle is editor of the online edition of the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences Journal.  As a California licensed marriage and family therapist, Dr. Doyle also has a private counseling practice, where he sees a diverse population in Southern California.
