Physical Activity and Assessment Programs

The Employee Wellness Program provides an opportunity for CSUF employees to participate in a variety of exercise classes and health-related fitness assessments.

The Open Exercise Session meets twice a week in the Lifespan Wellness Center. You are free to perform your own strength training and aerobic conditioning routine under the guidance of the EWP Staff. You may also use the Lifespan Wellness Center during Open Hours and during other class sections based on availability.

The Women’s Exercise Session is identical to the Strength and Conditioning Class but is intended to enroll women only.

The EWP Yoga Class is a one-hour class that meets twice a week.  The class is designed to instruct you on how to perform specific postures and breathing methods to improve your strength, balance, flexibility, body awareness, focus and relaxation.

Open Lap Swimming is available in the campus pool for anyone enrolled in either the Strength & Conditioning Class or the Women’s Workout Class.

The Fitness Assessment Program provides testing of aerobic fitness, body composition and blood pressure to employees for a fee. Employees can be tested without being enrolled in an exercise class.

Participants must complete a Health History and Risk Assessment prior to enrolling in an Exercise Class or completing a Fitness Assessment.
