Nathan
was born and raised in Tehachapi, California. While in high school, he competed
in football, basketball, baseball and track. He received his Bachelor of Science
degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton with an emphasis in athletic
training. During his undergraduate study, he gained valuable experience while
working with gymnastics, soccer, and wrestling and as a physical therapy aide.
He became a certified athletic trainer in 1997. He received his Master of
Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton with an emphasis in
sport psychology. Nathan joined the Student Health & Counseling Center
staff at Cal State Fullerton in 1997. He also became a part time faculty member
in the Kinesiology department in 2001. Nathan currently teaches 5 Clinical
Proficiencies in Athletic Training classes. He remains active in continuing
education courses to further his knowledge in sports medicine and orthopedic
physical therapy. Nathan currently lives in Fullerton, California. When he
is not at work he can be found with his wife rock climbing, snowboarding,
bow hunting or spending time with family and friends. Prior to coming to Cal
State Fullerton, Joanna spent a year working as an assistant athletic
trainer at the Salisbury School, and all-boys high school in Salisbury, CT.
She also spent a summer working as an intern with the Philadelphia Charge
of the Women's United Soccer Association.
