Thank you for your interest in the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at California State University, Fullerton. If you have not already done so, you should fully review the ATEP web site, including the Informational Packet, (ATEP web site within Academics). We recommend all interested parties discuss the ATEP and these materials with individuals who know and understand the ATEP, such as the Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, ATEP faculty, staff, alumni, or students.

The Application Packet includes the following materials needed to complete the application process:  CSUF – ATEP Application and the CSUF – ATEP Confidential Recommendation Form. Every applicant must submit three (3) completed ATEP Confidential Recommendation Forms. Applicants may also include letters, but a complete Application MUST include a minimum of three completed CSUF – ATEP Confidential Recommendation Forms.

With the recent approval of the new Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, we have implemented some crucial changes. Beginning Fall 2009, the annual ATEP Application filing deadline will be October 1st. Applications will then be screened and successful candidates will be admitted to the ATEP at the start of each Spring semester. Once admitted to the ATEP, students will be allowed to change their major to Athletic Training.

A complete Application Packet includes: 1) a complete ATEP Application, 2) three completed ATEP Confidential Recommendation Forms, 4) a completed Statement of Interest, 5) a copy of a current Professional Rescuer CPR certification card, and 6) a copy of all college transcripts. ALL materials must be received by the Program Director by October 1st to be considered for the program.  Meeting these deadlines is the responsibility of the applicant.  Notification of your interview status will be completed as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the ATEP Director (657) 278-3430 at CSUF.  Thank you again for your interest in the Cal State Fullerton Athletic Training Education Program. We wish you the best in your educational pursuits.
