1. Can I attend the program part time?

The MSW Program at Cal State Fullerton is a new program and is in candidacy for accreditation through the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). We do offer a special part time program to Orange County employees of either HSA or SSA, but this program is not yet available to our general student body.

Each semester load is between 14 and 17 units. Each class meets once per week. In addition, there will be 16-20 hours of field education per week. In a typical week, students will be on campus 2 days per week for classes and 2 days per week in the field agency.

The prerequisite requirements can be found on our website.  If a prospective student has graduated from either a CSU or UC, they have met our liberal arts/social science requirements.  For all other students, a worksheet is on the website with content areas that meet our prerequisites.  If you need additional assistance, please contact the MSW Program Advisor at (714)278-2790 or applymsw@fullerton.edu.
